Position Summary
AmazonLocal is a recently launched daily deals marketplace that offers customers savings of up to 75 percent off products and services at restaurants, spas, fun events and more. This new business within Amazon offers a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation. We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to develop and implement a strategy to raise awareness and increase engagement for AmazonLocal within the merchant community.

Key Strategic Objectives
The Head of Merchant Marketing is responsible for attracting local and national merchants to AmazonLocal who are interested in expanding their business with innovative and high-value online marketing tools and services. The scope for this leader includes the following:

Develop and implement an effective marketing plan to drive awareness, adoption, and usage of AmazonLocal in the local advertising and services space.
Create innovative marketing campaigns across various channels, such as social media, events, email, online marketing/advertising, targeted physical marketing, co-marketing with partners, etc.
Create marketing collateral including online, print and video media; manage internal & external agencies and creative partners.
Define and manage a budget.
Partner with the AmazonLocal Sales and Operations teams to identify needs and execute lead generation programs.
Partner with groups within Amazon (other merchant-facing service teams, business development, PR, evangelists, and other marketing managers) to develop and leverage marketing programs and identify new opportunities that align to team and cross-company goals.
Use compelling and comprehensive data to measure performance of programs and drive innovation.
Assist in the development of key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall financial performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement.
Work with Legal and Tax department on service contracts and fees, import and export regulations, reporting compliance, etc. Ideal Candidate Profile:

Strong leader who can prioritize well and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Outstanding skills at initiating, managing and growing strategic partnerships with third parties.
Ability to negotiate complex and creative co-marketing arrangements with partners.
Have general knowledge of daily deals, e-commerce and target market segments, processes, industry standards, regulations, and the current business trends.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of product marketing experience
Bachelor's degree
3+ years experience managing a team of 5 or more

Preferred Qualifications

Experience at e-commerce and/or technology companies
Experience with B2B marketing for a fast growing sales organization
Experience in demand generation in the SMB space
