The Specialist, Risk Management position is responsible for coordinating Worker's Compensation and General Liability claims for multi-unit restaurant operations in a five-state area (CA, AZ, NV, CO, UT). Create accurate risk and loss analysis to measure insurance claim data. Develop claims systems for accurate data collection and reporting.
Worker’s Compensation – Administers Workers’ Compensation
claims and provides support to Senior Risk Manager and Safety Manager on claims
investigation, coordination and reporting.
a) Reduces workers’ compensation costs:
i) Manages Workers’ Compensation claims and incident reporting
ii) Communicates with injured Team
Members and Guests within one business day.
Provides bi-lingual support and medical management for Workers’
iii) Attends investigations and depositions to provide an action plan
for claim resolution
iv) Acts as liaison between injured Team Member, claims adjuster,
medical facility and restaurant manager
v) Coordinates return to work and transitional work program
vi) Oversees Medical Provider Network and Incident Reporting System
(Medcor) Medical Provider Listing
vii) Communicates with injured workers’ and coordinates claim and
ensures timely claim closure
b) Prepares reports from carrier websites and updates claims system weekly
c) Creates accurate reports from claims system and carrier excel data
General Liability –
