TAHC&H is looking to immediately fill the Director of Clinical Practice and Regulatory Affairs position. Job duties include:1. Provides technical assistance to member agencies related to patient care, clinical and regulatory issues, and responds to Association member information requests;2. Designs and/or presents clinical educational workshops, including participating in development and planning workshops, in coordination with Education Committee; as Lead Nurse Planner, has authority and is responsible and accountable for: a) oversight for adherence to TNA and ANCC COA criteria across all professional nurse activities b) orientation and training of nurse planners to meet ANCC requirements c) ensuring all nurse planners are informed of ANCC/TNA standards d) decisions related to qualification of an educational activity as professional continuing education for nurses and b) implementing and evaluating CNE activities in conjunction with the Director of Education;3.
Writes articles for Perspective on Federal and State regulatory and clinical issues affecting home care;4. Develops positions on regulatory issues for presentation to committees and Board, as applicable;5. Staff liaison to the Clinical Practice and Medicare/Medicaid, Hospice and Pediatrics Committees;6. Develops, publications, policies, etc.
as needed;7. Represents the Association in committees and meetings with state agencies and coalitions when designated by the Executive Director;8. Substitutes for the Executive Director in his/her absence as the Association representative, as appropriate;9. Contributes to the analysis of issues and trends relating to home care and hospice;10.
Serves as liaison to State and Federal regulatory agencies and fiscal intermediaries;11. Assists in reviewing legislation and providing testimony in areas of expertise;12. Supervise support staff;13. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
