This position will provide executive management and oversight to a global QA team (~ 30-60 resources) that supports multiple LOB's. The candidate is responsible for ensuring exceptional quality in the delivery of testing services by a 3rd party vendor, implementing target processes and tools, setting strategy, and managing the governance and executive oversight to the business technology team. This includes issue escalation; conflict resolution; metric and defect management and reporting; vendor management, staffing, and process design, Roles scope is quality delivery throughout the SDLC, transcending traditional testing services and requiring senior influence across reporting lines. Proposes solutions and innovative plans on process redesign, tools, measurement and control. Directly manages at least one experienced manager and greater than 50 vendor resources.
In addition to direct team leadership, the role will work with other QA managers to ensure overall organizational delivery, reporting, strategic and financial planning, and implementation. The role will also involve coordination with up and down stream application teams and influencing quality End to End. Special projects will be assigned.
7-10 years of experience in a technology role (Dev, QA, BA, Architecture, Support, PM are all relevant skills)
Financial services and traded products knowledge
Knowledge of DBA, data management, messaging, ETL, and batch processing
Prior team management experience including offshore contract resources
Understanding of testing methodologies and tools
Ability to identify and support positive change
Executive oversight and crisp, candid communication
Process design and flawless execution
Prior experience influencing across multiple levels & reporting lines
