Provide geological support for the planning and execution of well drilling programs, both internally and outside operated. Work within producing asset teams by proposing drilling/workover locations and with well planning, permitting, geo-prognoses, geological drilling hazards and objectives data collection such as logging and mud-logging program, wellsite supervision, geo-steering of horizontal wells, data distribution and reporting and well evaluation, including log analysis and seismic interpretation with integration of geologic data. Provide timely and comprehensive communications within the asset team, proactive liaison with Land, Reservoir, Completions, Environmental and other internal departments. Communicate with partners at all stages of the process to ensure an efficient drilling program. Experienced grades will manage multiple rig schedule, interface with completion design and track competitor activity. This job description reflects the minimum job duties for the lower level position.

Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Geology is required. Experience in petrophysics, sedimentary geology, structural geology, subsurface mapping, field operations (such as well-site work and familiarity with drilling operations, directional wells, wireline logging operations-quality control and MWD/LWD tools), risk analysis, reservoir engineering, seismic interpretation, and economics. Should have an understanding of fundamentals of petrophysics and reservoir geology/engineering and be able to apply basic reservoir engineering concepts in technical evaluations. Ability to evaluate quality of collected data and recommend fit for purpose well services (wireline, mudlog, geochem, sampling etc.). Conceptual knowledge of seismic methods and play analysis. Higher grade level able to interpret and integrate seismic data into technical evaluations plus generate reservoir maps from a variety of data sources. Good communication skills. Proficiency in the use of geoscience software, Microsoft Office software, and the Internet. These requirements reflect the minimum requirements for the lower level position. The level at which a candidate is hired into is dependent upon the skill level and previous related experience of that candidate and the minimum qualifications for such level that they are hired.
