o Implementing and directing a field sales plan within the assigned sales region so as to achieve stated sales goals.
oTraining, supervising, motivating and developing sales personnel to attain or exceed their sales territory sales goals.
oConducting well planned sales meetings designed to convey product knowledge, selling skills and foster teamwork.
oImplementing management development programs to provide succession planning candidates for future leadership positions.
o Evaluating sales results, taking action or making recommendations to correct behavior or performance.
oWorking with human resources in establishing and maintaining an active recruiting program designed to fill vacancies quickly with qualified personnel.
oAppropriately allocating total regional sales budget and controlling expenses within assigned budget to meet or exceed business objectives.
oRoutinely making field contacts with regional representatives to ascertain skills, provide oral and written feedback on effectiveness and potential.

oThe area will cover Ohio, Michigan and parts of Indiana.

- BS Degree required
- Minimum of 8 years† experience in the pharmaceutical industry required with 2 years Oncology Sales Management preferred.
- Experience in the field of Oncology in solid tumors preferred.
- Urology and/or Radio Pharm experience preferred.
- Current Oncology sales experience coupled with successful completion of Bayer Leadership and Development Training with manager approval.
- Previous experience in launching new products or indications preferred.
- Previous Marketing, Sales Training, Sales Operations and Managed Care experience is desirable.
- Successful track record in field sales defined as consecutive years of increased sales or market share.
- Incumbent should be aware of market conditions, competitive intelligence and market trends.
- Valid drivers† license required.
