Substation Projects group at our company is in need of two electrical substation designers to join their group due to an influx of projects and construction budgets this upcoming year. Close to 1 billion dollars budgeted to substation and transmission projects this year.
Qualified candidates have to have electrical design experience. Not mechanical, not civil etc. 3 years minimum of electrical. Substation and High voltage experience with utility background is desired.
Lower level designers could be plugged into his graphics tech group. (guys that desire to be designers but do not have the necessary experience).
Pay/per diem will be discussed after the interview process.
1) Candidates can be at any level of experience past 3 years, if they have specific protection and controls experience.
2) This person will have to know electrical design and working with Microstation and or Autocad. Must be familiar with schematics specifically related to substations and transmission. Must have relevant/recent related experience.
3)This contractor will be evaluated on their ability to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.. Working for 10 different project engineers evaluating and monitoring standards for us.
4) Best candidates will take the initiative to positively affect the workload as it can get backlogged. Very good communicator is going to be the best fit for us.
5) Disqualifiers are no experience with electrical schematics and standards knowledge
