Organize and execute quality assurance activities, tasks, and processes for new systems and system modifications as assigned by the QA Management. Individuals in this role serve as the primary point of contact from the QA team during major projects for project sponsors, PMs, on and off-shore testing resources, and end users. In addition, this position assists in mentoring QA Analysts and implementing continuous process improvement efforts within (but not limited to) the Quality Assurance organization.

25%: Coordinate and lead end to end quality assurance activities for IS projects including task scheduling, resource allocation, test execution, issue tracking to resolution, and communication to QA and Project Management.
20%: Partner with project sponsors and PMs to identify quality goals for the project up front and then work to ensure those goals are met.
15%: Create QA deliverables (test plans, scripts, and reports) for test efforts to ensure quality test execution.
10%: Participate in Requirements and Design reviews in order to uncover defects earlier in the Software Development Lifecycle.
10%: Provide visibility to QA Management on issues, risks, timelines, and constraints/conflicts for assigned projects.
10%”: Participate in initiatives targeting the development and management of testing tools to analyze, monitor, and report on test results and process improvement.
10%: Mentor and coach QA analysts on test methodologies, industry standards, and tools.
Education - 4 year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Will accept equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree based upon evaluation by a professional credential evaluation agency. Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
Experience - .6+ years of hands-on testing and quality assurance experience; 3+ years leading test efforts for major projects, working with multiple teams across the organization to achieve set quality goals. Hands on experience with multiple retail applications and technologies. Experience in designing, developing, and implementing test methodologies. Experience working with and providing guidance to off-shore testing resources. Experience collecting and analyzing requirements and creating traceability matrixes. Experience mentoring and coaching team members in QA methodologies and best practices. Experience with quality assurance tools (preferably Quality Center, QTP, TOAD), automated job scheduling tools (preferably Robot), and version control tools (preferably MKS).
Communication - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
Process - SDLC process expertise.
Business - Strong ability to build, manage, and foster relationships at all levels in the business.
Leadership/Teamwork - Demonstrated ability to guide, facilitate, and/or lead the efforts of the end to end testing process.
Skills -MS Office Professional proficiency.
Ability to multi-task, adapt, and operate effectively in a fast-paced testing environment with changing priorities.
