Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing and high profile area of Hiscox. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Marketing to plan and execute marketing activity across a range of partners to successfully build awareness and sales of our small business insurance products.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Partnership Manager to develop a marketing strategy for each key partner to build awareness and drive quotes/sales
  • Work with agencies and internal resources to plan and execute campaigns
  • Use a range of tools to monitor and report on activity and results
  • Build a suite of partnership templates and literature which can be used across partners
  • Build a comprehensive prospecting pack which we can use to approach new partners with and sell Hiscox
  • Attend conferences and visit partners to launch on-site activity, competitions and build relationships
  • Visit our service center in Virginia to ensure we are delivering the right experience for our partners customers across all touch points.
  • Ability to form relationships and interact with the US Direct Leadership team, Compliance, Claims, Underwriting, Marketing, and the Direct call center in Virginia as well as marketing agencies based in the New York area.
Person Specification

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience of planning, executing and measuring marketing campaigns
  • 4+ years marketing experience
  • Experience of managing email and direct mail campaigns
  • Creative thinker who can also manage data and report on results (e.g. good Excel skills)
  • Self-starter with a genuine ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for delivering results
  • Excellent project management skills able to co-ordinate multiple tasks to deliver results on time and within budget
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships at all levels within the business and with external partners
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Formal marketing qualifications or courses
  • Good knowledge of B2B marketing ideally within the small business segment
  • Knowledge of email systems like MailChimp (or similar)
  • Basic design skills would be useful e.g. Photoshop
  • Experience of executing activity at trade-shows and/or conferences
  • Experience of using a website content management system (CMS)
