KENTUCKY ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: EXCEPTED - PERMANENT - ENLISTED/WARRANT

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: AREA ONE - All qualified permanently employed excepted technicians of the Kentucky Army National Guard. AREA TWO - All qualified members of the Kentucky Army National Guard. Includes temporary and indefinite employees.

INTRODUCTION: This position is located in the Property Book Section of CSMS. Its purpose is to serve as Property Book Officer and be responsible for the management fo organizational property accounts.

DUTIES:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervises a group of subordinates (usually three or more) in performing supply work. Responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management. Maintains property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property. Establishes quality edit procedures and oversees the edit of all documents. Coordinates with the USP&FO and subordinate units of the brigade on the lateral transfer and/or turn in of excess property. Performs other duties as assigned. Incumbent may be required to prepare for and support the mission through the accomplishment of duties pertaining to military training, military readiness, force protection and other mission related assignments including, but not limited to, training of traditional Guard members, CWDE/NBC training, exercise participation (ORE/ ORI /UCI/ MEI/ OCI/ IG, etc.), mobility exercise participation, FSTA/ATSO exercise participation, SABC training, LOAC training, weapons qualification training, participation in military formations, and medical mobility processing within the guidelines of NGB/ ARNG/ ANG/ State/ TAG rules, regulations and laws. MILITARY COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate is required to be assigned to a compatible military unit and MOS/AFSC in accordance with TPR 303. ECMF: 88, 91, 92; WOBR 92

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : COMPLETE DATES MUST BE USED FOR YOUR EXPERIENCE. EXAMPLE 2 JAN 1980 TO 3 MARCH 1981 OR JAN 1980 TO MARCH 1981. USE OF YEAR ONLY WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Do you have at least 18 months experience, education, or training in researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance and disposal procedures. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.

a. Knowledge of standard methods of receipt or material order documentation control and material processing.

b. Knowledge of policies and regulations regarding storage space controls, stock location systems, layouts, and storage techniques.

c. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.

d. Ability to direct work of subordinates.

OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THIS POSITION : SELECTEE WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DIRECT DEPOSIT/ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFER PROGRAM. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL PRIOR TO PLACEMENT.
