Manage the Office of Career Services overall recruitment, job postings and employment services. Serve as an initial point of contact for new employers inquiring about hiring Stevenson University talent by professionally representing the department with a spirit of excellent customer service and timely follow through. Report statistical data in order to provide benchmark data related to employer activity.
Bachelor's degree plus three years of customer service and administrative experience, preferably in an environment working with business constituents or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills, with strong planning and time management abilities. Ability to multi-task and follow through in a timely fashion. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with Excel and Word. Strong technology skills, with an ability to learn new software packages quickly. Experience working with students and employers preferred. Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Sedentary work. Fingering, talking, hearing, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Requires physical abilities consistent with a busy office environment on a university campus. Daily work with computers, monitors, copy machines and other office equipment.
Provide guidance to and respond to employer inquiries regarding recruitment opportunities at Stevenson University in a timely manner. Monitor and approve or disapprove new employer accounts in NACElink and job postings. Screen for legitimacy. Provide a menu of options to employers that explain recruitment options and refer to appropriate faculty and staff for next steps of engagement. Ensure that employer materials are up to date and readily available for staff to take to site visits. Conduct outreach, in collaboration with the Industry Specialists, to employers to participate in all programs (e.g. On Campus Recruitment, Information Sessions, Networking Events, etc.). Prepare Employer Activity/Hiring Reports for Stevenson University stakeholders, in collaboration with the Manager of Technology. Approve and coordinate logistics and schedule details of recruitment program. Monitor applications for On Campus Interviews, sign-ups for interviews and RSVP's for events related to recruitment in order to take necessary action for success. Work with Industry Specialists to outreach to students and faculty regarding interviews or events related to their respective majors. Prepare employer schedules, greet and orient recruiters and ensure that their experience at Stevenson is successful. Collect student interview evaluations from recruiters at the end of each day. Alert Industry Specialists of any required follow up with students and employers. Maintain and report on statistical data related to recruiting. Assist students and employers in the use of NACElink. Create and distribute the Weekly and Monthly Job Postings Report. Train student staff to post jobs in NACElink. Participate in weekly staff meetings. Provide necessary support to staff for programs and events, such as career fairs and networking events. Support ongoing student training related to NACElink and customer service. Provide administrative support for the center's programs and services. Work in collaboration with the Manager of Technology and Research, the Industry Specialists, the Director of Career Services and Planning and the Vice President for Career Services to develop procedures and processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of services and programs. Perform other duties as assigned.
