Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. Koch Fertilizer Canada ULC, operates a production facility in Brandon, Manitoba, which produces primarily anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate, UAN and urea. In addition, Koch Fertilizer, LLC owns storage and terminal assets in northwest europe with trading offices in Switzerland, France and United Kingdom.
Koch Nitrogen Company LLC is seeking a motivated and self driven
Process Engineer
for our anhydrous ammonia plant located in Fort Dodge, IA. Koch Nitrogen is a growing a valued capability. Working within this community allows the engineer to participate in local, cross-site, and external growth opportunities. Koch Fertilizer is a part of a large operating capability within Koch Industries that allows for many avenues of growth opportunity for the engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for plant production health monitoring and optimization based on identified performance targets. This will be accomplished by:
Working with the operating team to maintain, develop, and optimize plant key performance indicators, and achieve optimum operating conditions
Measuring daily performance against the operating KPI’s and troubleshooting plant problems, and identifying and implementing solutions to achieve targeted performance
Process Safety Management responsibilities, these responsibilities include being a team member, data provider and system owner
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution
Strong commitment to Safety, Environmental Compliance, Plant Reliability, and Production Excellence
Proven leadership skills, organizational skills, high work standards, strong technical abilities, strong business skills, and personal accountability
Must be available on a 24/7 basis
Ability to access ladders, stairs, and heights in the facility
Willing and available for weekend work and travel, including air travel; up to 10%
Preferred
Product or Process Engineering experience at a chemical process plant, petro-chemical plant or refinery
Process engineering experience in Ammonia, Urea and/or UAN production processes
