Job Summary: The Direct Mail Telephone Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships through mail solicitations (customers receive mail offering Maintenance and Protection Agreement coverage, and customers respond by calling the toll free number printed on the solicitation). This position answers customer calls, and provides quality customer service with each customer contact. Additionally, this position delivers the sales presentation with passion, commitment, courtesy and professionalism, while complying with policies and procedures. It is also paramount that this position uses unwavering customer service and high ethical selling standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Receives inbound sales calls from customers responding to a mail solicitation for Protection Agreement coverage
• Provides quality customer service with each contact, and builds customer loyalty
• Delivers a sales presentation that is partially scripted, uses ad-libs as needed and adapts to different customer styles quickly
• Educates customers about, and stresses the benefits of Protection Agreement coverage
• Offers the best value for the customer in terms of price, discounts, multiple and additional products and maximum term
• Fields questions and overcomes specific objections raised by customers
• Corrects customer information on record when appropriate, and complies to all Company policies and procedures
• Closes the sale and is respectful of the customer's rights
• Mails proposals and literature as requested
• Works with other team members to provide the highest level of customer service and meet team goals
• Complies with and adheres to selling policies, procedures and Company ethics
• Completes leads, sales processing and recording properly
• Keeps up-to-date with new Protection Agreement offerings
• Performs other duties as assigned
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Required Skills:
• Basic computer and typing skills
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English instructions
• Ability to complete internal documentation
• Ability to present information to and communicate with customers and Associates
• Ability to apply reasoning and comprehension to carry out simple written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to interpret and adapt to customer's needs and find solutions that are outside of the standardized situations
• Frequent sitting, some standing and walking, bending and reaching as necessary
• Ability to frequently use fingers and hands to manipulate computer and telephone equipment
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers while continuously wearing a telephone headset
Preferred Skills:
• Sales experience (in person or over the phone)
• Customer service experience (in person or over the phone)
