Tiny Paws Pet Care, a regional dog walking and pet sitting company is looking for Pet Care Specialists to help our company grow. In order to be a successful Pet Care Specialist (PCS), you must meet the following requirements:
[ QUALIFICATIONS ]
>You must be at least 18 years of age or older.
>You should have at least 1 or 2 years of prior work experience in any field or industry.
>You should have an admiration and love for all animals including (but not limited to): dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles and rodents.
>You should have strong verbal and written communication skills. This will prove helpful when dealing with clients and animals both.
>You should have the ability to connect with dogs of all breeds and sizes
>You should be physically capable of handling animals (especially dogs) of all sizes.
>You should have a reliable vehicle with valid insurance and a clean driving record.
>You should not have a criminal past.
>You should have cell phone that will be used for daily contact with clients and TPPC staff.
>You should have access to the Internet. You will receive your schedule via e-mail each week as well as other important information concerning your job.
>You must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
>You must provide proof of US Citizenship or be legally authorized to work in the United States
>You must love being outdoors and willing to work in all types of weather (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
>You must be able to pass a criminal background check and be bondable.
>You must have open availability on Monday - Friday from approximately 10:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
>You must live in close proximity to Framingham or our service area which includes: Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Medfield, Millis, Natick, Northborough, Sherborn, Southborough, Wayland, Wellesley and Westborough. This covers a 10-mile radius from Framingham Center.
[ PCS RESPONSIBILITIES ]
>Deliver a high quality level of care for all clients that is tailored to their unique individual needs including, but not limited to, walks, watering, and providing TPPC Staff with a summary of how the day went, including anything abnormal, or any requests/communications from the client.
>Provide daily logs of all visits that the owner will have upon return, as well as communication to me via email, phone or text about the status of pets as requested by the owner.
>Reinforce desired behaviors for pets per the instructions of their owners.
>Ensure the safety and well-being of pet clients through knowledge of their behavior and how to deal with problems as needed, including handling emergency situations properly.
>Provide ongoing communication with the owner of the company about all matters pertaining to clients.
We are not looking for seasonal or temporary help. You will be required to sign a contract for a minimum of 6 months. If you are interested in becoming part of our team, please respond to the e-mail below.

You will be paid on a per-walk basis. For beginners, we give you 65% of each 30-minute walk. We charge $17 for half an hour, so your pay would be $11.05 for every 30 minute of work. You will typically have 1 - 2 clients during your probation period which is 90 days. More work will be given to you as long as we feel you can handle it. You will typically make $221 every two weeks. You will be paid cash and are responsible for all incoming-reporting requirements.
Although, we don't require Pet CPR certification, we highly encourage it and will gladly give anyone who goes through Red Cross Certification a raise. 3.5% to their base pay rate. We provide mentoring and training for qualified candidates, our goal is to make you successful in this venture.
