JOB DESCRIPTION:
It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Restaurant Manager to manage the restaurant operation during shift, supervise service staff, conduct necessary training and provide the best service to the guests and patrons. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Mandalay Bay Resort policies, practices and procedures.

Specific Job Functions:
General understanding of Food and Beverage division and working knowledge of Culinary Agreements

Possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills and ability to follow directions

Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment, and work under pressure

Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines

Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum two (2) years college education in a related field and/or equivalent work experience in Food and Beverage

Minimum of one (1) F&B experience in a high-volume restaurant, preferably in a casino environment

Minimum of one (1) year management experience preferred

Previous experience in scheduling and staffing

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.

Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Mandalay Bay Resort standards.

Ability to frequently move freely about the office, sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, and bending; physical ability to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to 50 lbs. without restriction,.

Maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc.

Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Ability to obtain a valid Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
