Progressive law firm in San Francisco, California seeks a paralegal for a busy group of attorneys. This role will support two partners, as well as a minimum of four other attorneys. Candidate must have at least a Paralegal Studies certificate and 3+ yrs. of litigation experience for consideration.

Calendar meetings and case deadlines, interface with attorneys, legal assistants, secretaries, vendors and other counsel. Handle investigative Internet research. Assist in the preparation and filing of documents including, but not limited to, court pleadings and legal correspondence. Handle deposition and trial preparation, as necessary. Draft legal documents and correspondence, and review and check all documents for accuracy and timeliness. Handle Blue-booking, fact and cite checking, heavy editing and proof-reading. Provide administrative support including typing correspondence, entering edits to briefs, answering front desk phone, handling mail, maintaining attorney schedules and maintaining legal databases. Organize and maintain case files and document review projects. Complete discreet research assignments using LEXIS and Westlaw.

Must be detail-oriented Have a great attitude and a hard work ethic Excellent writing, communication and organization skills required Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under a tight schedule Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Must have federal court litigation experience and knowledge of court rules and deadlines Experience with discovery preferred Must be able to deal with confidential and highly sensitive matters in a consistently discreet and professional manner Ability to work in a professional manner under pressure, and handle difficult situations with a consistently calm, positive demeanor Proficiency in or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Knowledge of Bluebook citation rules strongly preferred Experience with PACER, Best Authority, CM/ECF, LEXIS and Westlaw preferred
