Provides genetic counseling support for various genetics clinics. Provides genetic information to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals and coordinates genetic testing and results. Conducts patient evaluations, pedigree construction and interpretation and counseling. This incumbent is a vital member of the clinical staff servicing a large population and clinic load including access to genetic counseling services for patients throughout the southeast states. Supports genetic training activities for technical staff, graduate students, residents and other short and long term trainees.

(Annual Salary Range: $45,198 - $58,760 - $72,322)

Minimum Qualifications
Completion of or currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Genetic Counseling required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Prior laboratory genetic counseling experience is preferred.

Licensure / Certifications
Currently certified or eligible for certification as a Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) within one (1) year from obtaining a Master's degree required.
