He/she will work closely with all healthcare providers to facility and coordinate efficient, effective, quality healthcare.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the appropriate life span; posses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements related to his or her age-specific needs; and, have the ability to provide care needed by the pertinent patients group(s). He/she will implement and/or comply with all the policies, procedures and standards of the unit, department and the institution. This is a Part Time position.Assessment RNs in our admissions department tasks and responsibilities include:Performs psychosocial assessment according to accepted standards.Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs. Instructs patients and families.Orients and mentors new staff members.Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Required Job Qualifications include:Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of VA or compact state is required.Experience handling Mental Health patients.Graduate of an accredited school of the appropriate profession.Strong customer service abilities including effective listening skills.Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
