The Georgia Regents University College of Education invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Counselor Education. This position includes teaching graduate courses in CACREP-approved Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs, andd in the new Ed. S. program. Advising/supervising practicum and internship students, engaging in research, and providing service to the profession are expected.
The Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Special Education is one of three departments in the College of Education, whose programs are accredited by NCATE, the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The Counselor Education program offers the M.Ed. and the Ed.S. degrees with concentrations in school counseling and clinical mental health. Minimum qualifications include an earned PhD in Counselor Education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program. Applicants must have work experience in school and/or community settings and be eligible for certification as a school counselor and/or LPC.
Salary is competitive, and commensurate with training, education, and experience. .
