Job Description: Primarily evaluates and treats patients.

Is responsible for maintaining proper licensure and abilities to provide optimum care. Will report to assigned Physician and/or Medical Director for supervison. Collaborates with Physicians in accordance to the appropriate supervisor/collaborative agreement. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Nursing with concentration in specialty as nurse practitioner.

RN licensure in PA, CRNP in PA, confirmation of Board Certification as a nurse practitioner by a recognized national certifying body that has established standards for nurse practitioners. OR Graduate of an A.M.A accredited Physician Assistant Program. Licensure as a Physician Assistant by the PA Medical Board; current certification through the National Commission of Certified Physician Assistants (N.C.C.P.A) Must have ability to sit, stand and/or walk during entire work shift. Frequently or consistently exert a force up to 20 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, to move objects.

Must be able to balance, crouch, lift, pull, push, reach and stoop. Exchange information in an easily understood manner with verbal English. Manual dexterity: Must be able to remove foreign bodies and perform minor surgical repair. Hearing ability adequate to communicate with normal conversation.

Perform appropriate auscultation during routine health care. Vision adequate to read medical devices. Influenza vaccination will be required for all personnel working within LVHN, who have patient contact, unless medically contraindicated or due to a bonafide religious belief or practice. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the Emergency Department is preferred Licensure and Certifications: Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.
