The credentialed and licensed Athletic Trainer (ATC) acts as a physician-extender in the clinic and the operating room. The ATC assists the Orthopaedic Surgeon and works with other staff and healthcare professionals to provide efficient and exceptional patient care. In the clinic, the ATC helps facilitate all aspects of patient care including:
•Taking the medical history and physical exam
•Presenting the case to the surgeon
•Assisting in medical decision making
•Therapeutic exercise instruction
Additionally, the ATC participates in other aspects of the practice including:
•Educational conferences, lectures and seminars
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Athletic Training or other related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
Current NATA BOC recognition as a Certified Athletic Trainer required. Must be licensed, or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of NH. Must obtain BLS within 3 months of hire.
