Cargill Texturizing Solutions
is a leading supplier of gelling and thickening agents as well as emulsifiers, focusing on supplying the global food and beverage industries. Cargill Texturizing Solutions offers specific solutions for improving stability, texture, consistency and shelf life in multiple food applications, based on a wide palette of ingredients including hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, lecithins, cultures, starches and soy flours.
Cargill Texturizing Solutions' presence on five continents includes affiliates, sales offices, technical laboratories and Applications Service Centers that ensure proximity to its customers. Products are produced in 31 plants worldwide.
The purpose of this
position is to achieve sales goals (revenue/margin/volume) by developing opportunities with assigned and prospective accounts in assigned category/territories.
50% - Effectively collaborate with outside account managers, customer service, customers, technical specialists, and marketing resources. Provide results through deep understanding of customer’s needs and translating those needs into innovative, differentiable and sustainable business opportunities based on ingredients, ingredient systems, service or quality driven solutions.
Deliver against pricing programs, policies and procedures including contracting procedures, pricing policies, allocation procedures, product return policy, or any other policy or procedure directly affecting customer(s). Communicate pricing changes that improve effectiveness in obtaining business unit and channel objectives. Work to provide competitive price quotes, which will maximize sustainable growth and profit return to the assigned customer base.
30% - Daily management of the 800 phone lines and internet inquiries by ensuring prompt response and identifying appropriate internal/external resources to facilitate follow-up. Utilization of business tools to effectively manage customer base and utilize to generate monthly business reports.
15% - Participation in business activities outside of normal day to day account activities, which could include project work, product launches, etc.
5% - Travel for training and company meetings as required.
Bachelors degree required - field of study in Business, Food or related science, or Engineering preferred
2 or more years customer-facing or food sales/service experience

Ability to effectively represent the BU from a commercial perspective to customers
