Position is located at our Offices in Naples, Florida
Prepare written documentation of MICROS HW/SW products. Document user guides, installation and programming manuals, and on-line help text. Research available and emerging tools and technology used in producing online and paper documentation; recommend applications for specific tasks. Analyze technical literature available, write descriptive copy, and verify documentation with various MICROS departments. Research available engineering information such as drawings, design reports, equipment and test specifications. Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience creating end-user documentation; experience with desktop publishing, word processing, online help tools, and graphics applications, relational databases, and the most recent Windows operating systems; writing skills. Background in educational design and the presentation of technical content to non-technical personnel and end users. Proficiency with some or all software tools used to produce paper and online documentation. Strong written communication skills. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
