The incumbent in this position will resolve hospital third party claims and patient balances. Will collaborate with other areas of the Revenue Cycle including Access Services, Health Information Management, other areas of Patient Accounting, numerous service areas and insurance companies to achieve claim resolution. Will build relationships with our customers, both internal and external, to promote feed back and timely resolution of outstanding claims. Will need to be proficient in software utilized throughout the Revenue Cycle as well as the various Health Insurance web sites. Must understand the various insurance payment methodologies to insure accurate reimbursement.
High School Diploma and some College preferred One (1) year Hospital Medical Billing and/or Collection experience required. Two (2) or more years experience preferred. Excellent PC skills required. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with patients and staff in a professional and efficient manner to resolve issues. Able to work independently.
Full-time 40 hrs per week Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
