The Nursing Support Technician II participates as a member of the healthcare team in the delivery of high quality patient care utilizing the tenets of service excellence. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Nurse Support Tech II performs delegated patient care procedures and observes, reports, and records patient conditions and information. The Tech assists the healthcare team with specific treatments and/or procedures in an acute or intermediate care facility.
-High School Diploma or GED
-Successful completion of a CNA or GNA course and successful completion of a Community College Technician Program or Hospital based Technician Program
-0-1 year of current clinical experience
-Critical Thinking skills
-Ability to Prioritize
-Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License with the Maryland Board of Nursing. Must be licensed to practice in Maryland or must be able to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board
-Healthcare Provider Level CPR
