Responsible in the data abstraction and submission of designated clinical quality measures. Assists in improvement initiatives surrounding assigned clinical quality measures with clinical teams, departments and other services.
Responsible for abstraction and data entry of an assigned performance-clinical quality measure on a timely manner to meet regulatory agencies requirements.
Assists in re-enforcing adherence to set guidelines and procedures to be in compliance with quality measures, ensuring appropriate activities are in place for the success of the project.
Coaches, facilitates, assists, and participates in clinical improvement clinical projects as assigned.
Performs concurrent and retrospective chart review of cases for rapid identification of improvement activities.
Maintains current knowledge in all required performance measures through attendance at educational meetings, seminars, and through review of current literature.
Supports in the development and achievement of Departmental Goals and Objectives that are consistent with the Hospital’s
Assists the Director in special projects when requested.
Understands and meets the requirements of the Corporate Compliance Program; complies with the standards set by department policy, JCAHO, and other regulatory agencies governing activities within the department
Adheres to Saint Clare’s related policies including but not limited to hand washing and hand hygiene
Travels to other campuses to
do concurrent and retrospective chart reviews, provide staff education, etc
Ensures office and surrounding areas are in compliance with JCAHO’s Environment of Care and Infection Control Standards.
Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and
communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients,
coworkers, staff, and management.
Performs other responsibilities as assigned
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Proficient in the use of computer including Windows 95, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Basic knowledge in CQI methodologies i.e: Six Sigma and PDSA.
Good written and verbal skills. Must be a team player, flexible, and able to adapt to continuous changes required.
Must be self-motivated and self-driven required.
Active RN license.
BCLS required within first six months.
