North Georgia College & State University ( NGCSU ) and the Mike Cottrell School of Business is currently accepting applications for Associate Dean. This is a senior rank (Associate or Full Professor), 12-month, tenure-track position in the Mike Cottrell School of Business, an AACSB -accredited program and one of four schools at NGCSU . NGCSU is a regional university in the University System of Georgia, with a current enrollment of 6,000. Pending approval by SACS - COC and final authorization from the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, in January 2013 NGCSU and Gainesville State College will become the University of North Georgia, and the consolidated University will have an enrollment of approximately 15,000 students. The Mike Cottrell School of Business will become a college and have an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students. The College will offer undergraduate programs on three campuses and an MBA program in Cumming, Georgia. NGCSU is one of six senior military colleges in the United States and has been designated a Georgia Leadership Institution. NGCSU is located in northeast Georgia and this region offers abundant cultural and recreational opportunities and an outstanding quality of life.
The Mike Cottrell School of Business seeks an energetic individual to provide leadership in faculty development and overall internal operations. The Associate Dean will encourage professional development opportunities for faculty and staff and champion excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills, as well as effective interpersonal skills to work successfully with students, faculty, staff, the broader university and the community.
A doctoral degree in a business discipline or closely related field from an AACSB -accredited university is preferred. Employment in an AACSB -accredited business school is required and administrative experience at the department level or higher is preferred.

- Ability to provide support to department heads and faculty in teaching, research, and service.
- Ability to work with and manage professionals to create and maintain a collegial and mutually respectful environment for faculty and staff.
