Prepare the Company’s payroll reports for multiple tax entities and forwards to the appropriate governmental agencies.
Make timely payments of taxes to various federal, state, and local agencies.
Research federal, state, and local tax regulations on all aspects related to payroll tax withholding and remittance.
Provide in-house payroll tax expertise, and serve as company-wide coordinator of employment tax support procedures (SUI, relocation, tax adjustment and refund procedures, etc.).
High school diploma; college degree helpful.
Prior experience in tax or payroll.
Knowledge of payroll tax laws.
Familiarity with payroll database processing and tax accounting principles.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Competence in data entry, Excel, and Word.
Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Access a plus.
Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy.
Ability to organize and manage time.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, understand tax terminology, and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Ability to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, neat, and legible manner.
Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
