Seeking a bright and competitive Alarm and Security Systems Sales Representative with an entrepreneurial mentality and the drive to succeed.

As a Alarm and Security Systems Sales Rep. with NM Security Works, you will use your consultative sales style to deliver customer-focused solutions that meet the needs of each different residential situation. You will create and develop new business relationships with homeowners and manage existing customer relationships. As a Alarm and Security Systems Sales Rep., you have the freedom to structure your day as you see fit, as long as you close sales of residential security alarm systems to maintain your assigned sales quota.

Job Responsibilities:

A huge part of your role as a Alarm and Security Systems Sales Rep. will be to self-generate new sales opportunities. You will adhere to current NM Security Works policies and procedures, and prepare all service agreements and work orders in accordance with approved company procedures.

Additional responsibilities include:

-Identifying sales prospects utilizing creative lead generating techniques including networking
with other businesses that serve homeowners such as insurance agents, mortgage brokers,
locksmiths, etc
-Prospecting via cold-calling, handing out flyers and reviewing new homeowners lists
-Presenting sales proposals to prospects and identifying positive features and advantages of our
products and services
-Following up with prospects in a timely manner
-Following up with customers at installation
-Maintaining customer satisfaction after installation for first year


As a Alarm and Security Systems Sales Rep., you must have an outgoing, confident personality and an extremely positive attitude. You must be self-motivated and organized to stay on top of your sales activity and hit the minimum monthly quota (after the training period). You must also be able to build rapport with homeowners and have strong sales closing skills, as residential sales are generally one-call closes. Additional requirements include:

High school degree required, advanced degree preferred
Effective communication, presentation and persuasion skills
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Suite programs
Excellent time management skills
Aptitude for problem solving
Entrepreneurial mindset
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work some evenings to meet with homeowners
Outside sales experience preferred, particularly in industries that cater to homeowners such
as security, pest control, insurance
Customer service experience preferred
Bilingual abilities a plus
