SURVEILLANCE OBSERVER SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME): SUMMARY: The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for the Surveillance Department in the absence of the Director of Surveillance. The Surveillance Department is responsible for assisting staff in achieving the highest productivity possible as well as protecting Tribal assets, safety of employees, patrons and the integrity of the games of Spotlight 29 Casino. This is a position of high sensitivity, integrity and confidentiality; it is the Mission of the Tribe and All Gaming Operations to be the Premier Entertainment Experience in the Coachella Valley.' ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Upon request, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement to be the premier entertainment experience in the Coachella Valley. · Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Tribal – State Compact, Tribal, NIGC (National Indian Gaming Commission), Gaming Commission, Regulations, Policies and Procedures, MICS (Minimum Internal Control Standards) and TICS (Tribal Internal Control Standards). · Conduct surveillance investigations at the request of the Director, Casino Management or the Tribe. · Responsible for video Surveillance of activities throughout the Casino and Property. · Communicate departmental policies with all staff under your direction and organize staff meetings. · Provide employee training and contribute to upgrade training manual and testing program. · Train Surveillance Observers on surveillance strategy. · Perform initial checks on logs and reports, and technical aspects of the room. Communicate with Casino General Manager and Directors on an as needed basis verbally or in writing. Organize camera locations with Surveillance Technicians. Prepare shift schedules. Maintain a log and tapes for investigations which have been reviewed to include who, what, when, why, and where of the incident. Maintain a log of all reports, and tapes concerning compliance or safety issues of employees, vendors, consultants and guests. Follow up on all investigations and report findings in verbal and written form. Make four (4) copies – through Chain of Command Director of Surveillance, Gaming Commission Executive Director, and Tribe and in some instances- Casino Management. Always use confidentiality the best way. Attend meetings when requested and be prepared to present reports. Follow all safety practices and procedures and attend all scheduled Safety meetings and TERC training meetings, and all other training as a condition of employment. Present a positive image of the Casino to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Surveillance Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. GAMING INSPECTOR (PART TIME) SUMMARY: The Gaming Inspector is to observe and report incidents that might jeopardize the Tribal assets and is accountable to the Tribal Gaming Commission and the Tribe. It is the Mission of the Tribe and All Gaming Operations to be the Premier Entertainment Experience in the Coachella Valley.' Assist in the verification of audits or jackpots. · Oversee and ensure the physical safeguarding of the assets from the Casino Floor to Main Bank, Cash Cage. · Receive patron complaints within the gaming premises and operation and assist in seeking voluntary resolution of such complaints. · Communicate with Casino General Manager and Directors on an as needed basis verbally or in writing. · Attend meetings when requested and be prepared to present reports. · Follow all safety practices and procedures and attend all schedule Safety meetings and TERC training meetings, Title 31 and all other training as a condition of employment. Present a positive image of the Casino to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
SURVEILLANCE OBSERVER SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Three (3) years gaming related experience and/or training; with at least one (1) year of surveillance experience. Knowledge of procedures, duties and responsibilities of all Casino Games and Cheats and Scams, surveillance strategy. Computer Literate – or ability to learn Kronos Scheduling Bilingual Preferred, but not required. CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment and periodic random drug screens Must be able to pass background suitability investigation Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment Able to uphold a high level of confidentiality Able to deal well with people in delicate situations and maintain control Ability to make difficult decisions in a fair and honest manner Able to work overtime if required and weekends Able to type 40 words per minute Training required in instruction with all table games Ability to manually operate various closed circuit video equipment, changing recording material as necessary Ability to maneuver and view action throughout entire Casino whenever patrol function is necessary Able to work with little or no supervision Integrity and high work ethic required Strong verbal and written communication skills Shift rotation is required.
