Accountable to Director of Operations for achieving manufacturing facility operatives as top manufacturing person. Responsible for production, warehouse and maintenance. .
Continually focus on safety by addressing all identified physical and behavioral issues while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, etc.).
Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and continuous improvement.
Facilitate systematic cultural change to ensure continuous improvement.
Develop subordinates through education, training, and teamwork.
Develop and nurture relationship with primary customers.
Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production management concepts.
Assure that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered and that employee grievances are addressed in a timely fashion.
Lead plant continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing variation, shortening cycle time and eliminating waste in processes.
Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee engagement and satisfaction.
Work within the management system to develop initiatives to achieve quality, safety, environmental, product availability, efficiency and financial objectives.
Participate in the preparation of the annual plant operating budget.
Regularly review plant financials and initiate corrective activity to address areas not meeting plan.
Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports the Company's strategic initiatives.
Continually improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.
Build and maintain local contacts to ensure reputable community relations.

Bachelor's degree in business related field.
Degreed professional, preferably engineering or other technical discipline highly preferred
Minimum of 2 department manager roles in different supply chain functions
Food, beverage, or high speed packaging experience
Proficient in use of packaged computer software / industry standard software systems (e.g. SAP, MAXIMO, etc.)
Responsible for performance management of salaried employees
P & L responsibilities
Management experience in union environment
Candidate must possess 4 - 6 years of successful managing, Production, Operations, and Warehousing .
Warehouse and Distribution Center Management is reqiuired
Need to have a strong understanding of budget management.
Strong communication and organizational skills are a must as well as an ability to work with sales management.
Strategically aligns the operations' goals with those of the business unit and corporation.
Familiarity with inventory management system is helpful.
Flexibility to work all shifts when needed.
