Battelle’s Cyber Innovation Unit (CIU), located in provides a broad range of products and services including Cyber Intelligence and Counter Intelligence, Cyber Research and Development and Fundamental Science, On-site Advisory Services, and Mission Focused tools including Embedded Systems Reverse Engineering.

Our Cyber research team provides next-generation, innovative solutions in support of the defense community. This is a truly unique opportunity to be creative and help build the technical capabilities of the team. Individuals at all levels will have immediate and significant impact to define the culture and growth in a fast-paced and energizing environment.

We focus on building new and innovative broad spectrum cyber technologies in research areas such as Cyber Security Analytics, Cloud Computing Security, Security Risk Management, Information Security, Web 2.0 Security, Next Generation Security Architectures, Trusted Computing, Virtualized Environments, Cryptography, Embedded System Security, and Mobile Security. We value research skills, innovation, strong systems intuition, systems building experience and a strong desire to implement one's own ideas.

We are currently seeking

Cyber Interns

to serve from May to August 2012. This position work 40 hours per week in our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.

Position Responsibilities:
·

Participate in Cyber teams to achieve corporate science and technology objectives

·

Work independently and effectively to solve complex engineering problems in a team environment.

·

Organize and follow standard operating procedures in support of innovative cyber research and development projects.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

·

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.

·

Sole US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

·

Proven ability to work with new technologies and competing priorities.

·

Exceptional communication skills

THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

·

Education concentration in Network Security Systems, Information Operations, Information Assurance, and/or Cryptography

.

·

Past experience with Computer Network Defense (CND), Computer Network Operations, Information Operations and/or Cyber Operations

.

·

Past experience in cyber command and control technologies, insider threat/data exfiltration, advanced risk management methodologies, malware analysis, cyber forensics, penetration testing and/or reverse engineering
