To perform dispatch function for ambulance and helicopter services. To evaluate a patient's condition and administer basic emergency care when necessary prior to returning to the hospital, en route to the hospital, or in the hospital emergency center.

Requires current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician; prefer high school graduation or GED
Requires possession of a valid Missouri Drivers License within thirty days of appointment.
Requires completion of NREMT registry within thirty days of appointment.
Operates ambulance in a safe manner (taking into account weather conditions). Assists transport team as needed while at referring site and in route. Complete paperwork (State ambulance report, billing sheets, data entry form, etc) in order to document patient information and treatment. Complete daily equipment checks on vehicle. Updating mileage and direction books (kept in ambulance). Ensures that vehicle is kept clean (inside and out) and ready for use. Teach and/or assist in in-service and public education programs to hospital and lay personnel. Assists with patient care areas as needed. Assists in discharging patients on AP/PP/NICU as requested. Responds to in-house codes while on duty. Follows appropriate chain of command when interacting with other personnel. Checks supplies (and order as necessary) in CHTS supply room.
