CTG is in immediate need of
SUSE LINUX Systems Administrators
with strong customer support skills for a long term,
contract position providing Linux Software Technical Support to a Fortune 20 retail business
. This SUSE LINUX systems administrator
must be able to understand a large scale enterprise culture/organization
as well as processes and procedures deemed critical to the customer. The LINUX Systems Engineer should be a good problem solver with the ability to adapt and be very business savvy.
Our client is considering all experience levels.
Project Duration:
12+ Month Ongoing Contract
Project Location:
Bentonville, Arkansas / No telecommuting option.

Available on a W-2 basis only; Due to customer contract restrictions no third party applications will be accepted

Qualifications
The selected Linux Support Engineer will provide focused Linux Software Technical Support on the following:
System X Hardware (Blade/Blade Center)
Linux OS (Suse 10x/11x) Administration/Support
Linux Monitoring
Debugging
Korn/BASH shell scripting
RPM Packaging
Day to day administration
Kernel
Perl
Networking, TCP/IP
OS Updates
Virtualization software (Xen)
Storage - iscsi, sas, drbd
Must Be Able To:
React to fix field escalated issues promptly
Develop and validate bug fixes
Interface closely with development for short and long-term software fixes
Education/Mentoring of other team members
Must Have:
Good Customer Support Skills
Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Good Troubleshooting and Analytical Skills
Good understanding of networking
Rollout experience
