With your excellent communication, tecnical troubleshooting, and communication skills, you will play an integral role in supporting the production processes for our biotechnology products utilizing state-of-the-art facilities.
We are looking for talented individuals to join our Beloit, Wisconsin manufacturing team in the role of Process Technician. In the Process Technician position you will be responsible for equipment operation in fermentation or recovery. You will monitor equipment and production processes to ensure maximization of enzyme manufacturing. This involves working with our process control system (Delta V), troubleshooting equipment and interacting with engineers to optimize the process.

This position works a rotating 12 hour shift, which requires working 2 weeks of day shift and then 2 weeks of night shift. Work half the days in a year with a 3 day weekend off every other weekend!

Responsibilities include:
Perform core process operations, which may include: media prep, fermentation, recovery, DCS automation, packaging, loading & unloading trucks, and working outdoors
Troubleshoot equipment such as valves, pumps, hoses, etc.
Work with fellow process technicians, area experts, and engineers to optimize the process
Actively participate in crew and department activities (including: definition of best practices, consensus decision making, SOP development and maintenance, training, continuous improvement efforts and standardization)
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with regard to: division of tasks, cross over, e-mail, problem resolution, feedback, process documentation, etc.
Work in an organized and safe manner. Address safety, GMP and housekeeping concerns.
Actively participates in training process. (Asks questions, clarify understanding and provide feedback to trainer.)
Contributes to continuous improvement through observations, attention to detail and follow through.
Implement, adhere to and recommend changes to ISO standards.
You are an effective, results-driven, self-directed and motivated team player who communicates in an open, honest manner. You are able to work 12-hour rotating shifts (two weeks on days and two weeks on nights) which include every other weekend. You must be flexible to participate in training and potential shift changes and overtime.

In addition, qualified candidates should possess the following:
A.S. or B.S. in a laboratory science or related field or previous equivalent manufacturing experience, ideally in industrial chemical or food processing
Excellent computer and communication skills
Systematic decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to define, write and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and coordinate activities.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting. ( 55 lbs )
Ability to do moderate to heavy stair climbing.

Candidates will need to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.
