Commercial Insurance Product and Policy Systems is actively searching for a Business Systems Analyst to join the Pricing Models team within the Product Automation organization. Product and Policy Systems is the organization with Product Management responsible for the long term strategy for policy administration systems, new technology delivery, development and maintenance of all components of the installed policy systems. We also serve as the liaison with Commercial Insurance Information Technology. The Pricing Models team is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of pricing models. This group designs, implements and refines pricing models within the eCLIQ application to ensure risk/price and rate adequacy that aligns with our product filings. This team is also responsible for collaborating with the Product Automation Rating team, Product Modeling, IT and other areas within Product Management in establishing an optimal deployment plan that aligns with and supports filing strategy and implementation processes.         Responsibilities: Evaluates business requirements; performs analysis to determine alternative business solutions or process improvement opportunities. Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation of business requirements. Analyzes and documents business problems of moderate complexity and provides recommendations based on research of industry trends, business products, competitors and performance analysis for optimal business solutions. Develops test plans and tests and approves new system behaviors to ensure alignment with business objectives and test plans. Coordinates upgrades and rollouts of moderate scope including specific duties related to implementation and monitoring performance. Contributes to the development of project plans; assigns and monitors tasks. Analyzes feasibility, budget impacts, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential projects. Depicts moderately complex to complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; contributes to education within SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and within business units on the impact of change. Creates and implements and maintains business operation standards and procedures. Assists in the development of methods and tools to track and measure results. Consults on moderately complex business issues. Works with other departments to coordinate interdepartmental activities in order to ensure that Liberty meets customer expectations. Assists in problem resolution as needed to ensure that internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies. Assists in the preparation of user documents and training materials. May provide technical training and user support to business groups. Assists in the development of communication plans and related activities. Assist in communications with customers both internal and external, e.g. vendors, business partners and Information Technology. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters Degree in business or technical discipline and 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Knowledge of model implementation, SAS or SPSS, business operations, objectives, and strategies as well as business process and information flow. Understanding of re-engineering approaches. General knowledge of diverse technologies and new and current architectures. Skills in object, data, and/or process modeling, financial analysis and planning, business value analysis, and business process design.
