The primary role for the Senior Accountant - Public Reporting will be to assist in the continued automation of the public reporting function for IBG. This person will be focused on making sure that publicly reported information is complete and accurate, as well as, elegant and useful. In addition, this person will be responsible for ensuring continued compliance with SEC regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley, and for completing ad-hoc projects. This position will require a highly organized and naturally curious self-starter with strong analytical skills who enjoys daily challenges and is persistent as well as resourceful in getting to the right answer .
Support the preparation and submission of all SEC filings including periodic reports on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, XBRL Exhibits, 8-K, as well as, Section 16 filings on Forms 3, 4 and 5.
Support the preparation of the quarterly earnings release.
Maintain and track compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley procedures.
Accounting and SEC research.
Ad-hoc projects and analysis.
Doing whatever needs to be done to move a dynamic, fast growing business forward.
3 – 5 years experience in general accounting and reporting.
Prior experience in securities/commodities industry is a plus, but our focus is on technical accounting and SEC reporting expertise.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Must possess a very high level of attention to detail.
Strong writing skills.
Possess a “can-do” attitude, discipline and organization.
Knowledge of Oracle Financials helpful.
Proficiency with computers: Comfort with database applications, accounting system report writers, etc. General understanding of automated, database driven systems.
Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
