The National Director will provide leadership and professional development opportunities for fund-raising professionals based in Regional Offices as assigned. The National Director is responsible for short and long range planning for all Special Event programs. They travel to regional offices and to special events as required.
This role is responsible for the leadership and direction of all special events in our Denver, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington DC Offices.
They develop and implement overall strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and volunteers for the Development Departments nation-wide special event programs, and Auxiliary.
Develops extensive and critical relationships with the institutions Board, National Trustees, donors and volunteers. Represents the institutions programs to these constituencies. Oversees and ensures compliance with budgetary constraints as established by the Vice President of Development.
Must be able to multitask, use independent judgment, independent decision making, and to utilize stress management skills in an extremely fast paced environment with conflicting priorities.
Must have a minimum of 8+ years of recent and related experience. Must have extensive experience in leading large, multi-state teams in events and fundraising.
