The Principal Engineer – Electrical/Controls/Digital Systems in Engineering Services provides governance and oversight for all Electrical/Controls/Digital Systems at Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations. This individual will be the PSEG Nuclear Engineering subject matter expert (SME) for all Electrical/Controls/Digital Systems at Salem and Hope Creek Stations. The Principal Engineer provides Electrical/Controls/Digital-related system and component engineering/technical support at Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations. This individual will be the PSEG Nuclear expert on Electrical/Controls/Digital Systems. The Corporate Engineer will define the methods and practices for Electrical/Controls/Digital Systems to the levels that: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards and results in industry leading performance at Salem and Hope Creek. The Principal Engineer in Engineering Services provides organizational support to: Provide support to stations on complex and strategic program and process issues. Provides strategy and support for special programmatic inspections by regulators and industry. Resolves industry issues that affect stations with input form stations and develop an overall strategy. Represents, leads, and influences decision-making at the industry level. Provides oversight and recommendations for routine program assessments, outage readiness and preparation for outside organizational assessments (i.e. INPO).
Other responsibilities include: Benchmarking the industry, and performing third party reviews of technical documents. The Principal Engineer will be expected to establish and maintain a leadership role in appropriate professional / technical industry forums related to the area(s) of expertise. This position is the technical lead and will provide special expertise and consultation as the SME. Technical expert in all aspects of I&C, understanding and ability to translate process to control via scaling, setpoint and loop calculations. Proficiency in flow, level, temperature, pressure, voltage and current measurement. Ability to apply bias offset to calculations; component knowledge/design experience

REQUIRED: BS degree in Engineering, Science or Technology. Minimum of 15 years nuclear industry experience, with minimum of ten years directly related to Electrical/Controls/Digital Systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility with changing priorities and changing ways of doing business. Must meet requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.
DESIRED: SRO license or certification, System Engineering Certification, PE license, advanced technical degree.
