This is a 6-month contract position, with a competitive hourly rate. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Responsible for performing biomedical technicianservices per regulatory compliance. Complete projects without fragmenting or interruption. Daily check-in/out with the Facility Manager. Perform inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance per manufacturer and accreditation standards (JCAHO, etc.), including safety tests on new and existing equipment. Repair all failed equipment and maintain outside vendor list. Prepare monthly progress reports and utilize automated maintenance systems.
2-4 years recent experience as a Biomedical Technician. Completion of a program in biomedical technology or biomedical engineering from an accredited institution in the US. Current certification as a Biomedical Technician, (with no restrictions). Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills, as you will interface with various colleagues, teams and professionals. Experience preparing routine reports, utilizing data, testing and system information. Ability to perform work and complete project independently. Travel between facilities and some overnight stays will be required. Hours will be M-F, 8AM - 5PM, with some occassional overtime. Two recent professional references. Must pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
