Provide vision and lead the efforts to transition the existing and diverse Web platforms of the WSU News and CAHNRS units to WordPress. This position will be responsible for visioning and leading efforts to complete transition of the existing and diverse Web platforms of these units to WP, all aspects of backend Web development, database management, updating of WP-related programs, and will oversee front-end development. |
Position Details Continued:
A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Minimum/Required Qualifications continued:
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years Web development, of which one (1) year must have been in a leadership role. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
WordPress, PHP/MySQL development experience, and ability to leverage Web services.
Two years' experience leading WordPress development projects.
Experience contributing to the WordPress core.
Experience building modern Web services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to write and review development documentation.
Understanding of client/server architecture.
Experience with APIs.
