Using design input from marketing, engineering, and other areas, create and maintain designs, layouts, drawings, and documentation required for product lines. Product lines contain both standard and custom designs with high engineering content.

1. Must be an enthusiastic self starter, able to organize and pursue broad objectives, and have the ability to manage multiple, changing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, on technical and issues. Demonstrated sense of urgency. Able to operate within company policies and bounds of ethical, professional, legal, and high business standards.
2. Computer literate, with knowledge of current operating systems and software.
3. Create and maintain standards, designs, drawings, and specifications for quotations, products, and aftermarket. Responsible for record keeping of same. Resolve production problems and render technical and process assistance to shop.
4. Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities including climbing stairs and moving over, around and about shop machinery and in-process apparatus in safe manner. Physical ability to climb a ladder and safely maneuver the engineering files contained in EM vault. Physical ability to lift and carry 25 pounds. Must have valid insurable driver’s license and be able to obtain a passport and be able to travel worldwide on short notice.
Specifications:
Design Drafter
Education: 2 years technical college, 2 years college pre-engineering,
Drafting Certificate or equivalent.
Experience: 8 years experience building upon the Detail and Layout Drafter experience
and responsibility base. Pro - E Experience highly desired
Specific Responsibilities: Recommend fabrication methods and product features which would result in more efficient product design and reduce production costs. Familiar with manufacturing processes at EM.
