Chesapeake Energy Corporation is seeking a talented individual for the position of Landman. This position will be located at our Hamlin, West Virginia field office location.
      The duties for Kentucky/West Virginia Field Landman include:
      · Management of producing assets and leaseholds
      · Negotiation of damage settlements with landowners pertaining to oil and or gas operations
      · Responding to landowner complaints
      · Investigation of reports by operation personnel or individuals of illegal gas taps
      · Negotiation of sale of right to receive free gas
      · Deed research to determine mineral and surface ownership
      · Field reviewing construction projects involving well workovers, well access roads, and pipeline repairs
      · Utilizing GPS units to identify roads, wells and well lines and for plotting and preparing maps
      · Identifying and preparing information necessary for the plugging and abandonment of wells
      · Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets to keep team members informed of status of work
      · Lease acquisition and renewals
      A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
      A minimum of five (5) years related experience is preferred.
