Under general supervision this classification performs duties in the pharmacy department that do not require a licensed professional. Duties include processing and delivering medication, ordering and issuing products and receiving and ordering supplies. Minimum Qualifications This classification requires a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous pharmacy experience, science coursework at an advanced level and/or other relevant technical education highly desirable. Should have acuity with numbers and verbal skills sufficient to elicit and interpret information and give direction often of a technical nature. Must be registered annually as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. New employees must be registered or show proof of application for registration at the beginning of employment.
(Pharmacist student preferred.
