Twitter is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer who is highly proficient and has had hands-on experience with high density datacenter networking topologies, configuration, security, troubleshooting, and traffic management. Twitter's operations group manages a fast-paced and constantly growing network that seeks to implement cutting-edge technology to power the systems behind one of the world's largest websites and social media platforms.
Responsibilities
Actively participate in the configuration and management of a high density network
Support network issues at all levels from access to core
Participate in the monitoring and planning of traffic within datacenters as well as ingress/egress traffic
Management of IP addressing and load-balancing devices
Qualifications
Experience in high capacity networking within the datacenter (>100Gbps)
Extensive knowledge of network security including IDS, DDoS, Firewalls, and other distributed attack schemes
Expert understanding and hands-on experience with internal routing protocols and configuration, specifically OSPF
Extensive knowledge of BGP configuration and management
Extensive knowledge of high connection rate load-balancing
Understanding of transit relationships and Internet connectivity
Desired Skills
CCNP or higher, or equivalent hardware certification
5+ years of direct involvement with network configurations in a high demand/high capacity production environment
Proficiency in multiple hardware vendor syntax including Cisco, Juniper, Force10
Experience with F5 load-balancing
