Description The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, calibration and maintenance of a variety of electronic/electrical instrumentation and SCADA control systems; will support oil and gas production operations through a variety of means including multiple computer applications.
Must be proficient with process control and instrumentation including PLC’s, HMI, transmitters, measurement devices and automated valves.
Expertise with RF Communications systems, conventional and Spread Spectrum and familiarity with TCP/IP and Modbus networking.
Programming experience as it relates to SCADA/control systems particularly Ladder Logic.
Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills, be motivated by challenges, be committed to personal and professional development and work effectively within a team environment to achieve individual performance and team goals.
Must be proficient with PC’s running Microsoft products (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Access).
Must be available for call-outs to attend to field service and emergency calls.
Occasional overnight travel to job sites will be required.
General knowledge of oil and gas operations production preferred.
Experience with Control Micro Systems (SCADA Pack) products, Intellution IFix, and Cygnet a plus.
Familiarity with Electronic Gas Flow Measurement utilizing Multivariable Transmitters, Orifice Plates and Vcone technology.
Familiarity with local, state and federal regulations as they relate to oil and gas production.
Minimum of a two year degree in Electronics desired.
5+ years experience in the automation field working in a regulated environment.
