The Oncology Nurse Navigator provides clinical management to the oncology service line through organization, coordination, and monitoring of the care provided to all oncology patients.
This RN demonstrates the specialized knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients.
The RN collaborates in decision-making structures and processes.
Accountable for the implementation of an effective and continuous program to measure, assess, and improve performance.
Facilitates a high level of quality in every aspect of the oncology service including customer satisfaction.
Performs any and all duties necessary to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Works collaboratively with the marketing team to promote the program and to increase referrals.
The RN performs duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions with the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at Rose Medical Center.
Current Colorado Registered Nurse License
Current BCLS certification
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 3 - 5 years nursing experience, prior experience in specialty and charge/supervisory position. Able to articulate and demonstrate nursing theory and practice.
Demonstrates good organizational skills.
Ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing services. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Must have strong communication skills in order to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.
Degree of Supervision Required:
Minimal supervision required.
Individual proceeds on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies,
procedures, and practices.
