Description/Qualifications

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, a leader in senior housing and services, seeks a skilled communications professional to manage the flow of internal communications materials, including policy and procedure manuals, forms, memos and group e-mails. The position also consults with internal stakeholders on communication messages and frequency; prepares and edits copy for electronic employee publications, and assists with the design of these publications; reviews policy and procedure manuals, forms, memos and other documents; and posts materials to the Society’s intranet site. A bachelor’s degree is preferred in journalism, public relations, English or a similar field. One to three years of experience is preferred in coordinating internal/corporate communications. Must have excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; strong planning and organizational skills; good people skills; and experience with media such as blogs, e-mailed newsletters and Web sites.
