Seeking qualified applicant with expertise in the following:
Starting with source data from subject matter experts, such as design engineers, prepare manuals, instructions, training documentation and procedures intended for internal use or use by users of SNC products, or other nontechnical or quasi-technical personnel.
Technical Writers support preparation of system and in-process test plans and procedures, and acceptance test procedures and using block diagrams, schematic diagrams, artist sketches and minimal input (written or verbal) from subject matter experts, such as design engineers, prepare operations and/or maintenance manuals.
Candidate shall participate in and support proposal and CDRL preparation, develop training materials and participate in training activities, including class instructions, and prepare other technical data as required. For each document the Tech Writer shall generate and launch Engineering Change Order (ECO) with associated documentation into Configuration Management system.
Extensive related military training and background, or an associate’s degree in a technical or liberal arts (English, Journalism, etc.) area and experience supporting engineering development in industry, government or under government contract.
Experience with MS Office, web research tools, and familiarity with Intra/Internet tools environment required.
Must be capable of meeting SNC documentation workmanship standards.
