The Federal Financial Consultant
serves as a member of a functional team, primarily to support the project's business process documentation and property accountability efforts. The team member will be required to gain and demonstrate a working knowledge of business processes, internal controls, financial management systems, and DoD acquisition and property management practices. The team member will contribute directly to client efforts to achieve full accountability and audit readiness for real property, equipment and supply assets. Depending on the business processes under investigation, the Federal Financial Management Consultant is expected to apply subject matter expertise to evaluate cross-functional processes and the transactions that impact Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C) and Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L) communities. These activities will include integrating silo based property management, supply chain management and financial management functions.
Minimum 3 years of education or experience in one or more of the following capabilities: Process Design/Re-Engineering; Supply Chain Management and Logistics; DoD Acquisitions Management or Procurement; DoD Inventory Management; DoD Maintenance Management; Quality Assurance, Auditing and/or Financial Reporting; Experience executing DoD operations and business type activities/transactions
Minimum 1 year experience with MS Office applications (Specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Eligible to receive a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of government acquisition, logistics operations, or financial management practices
Knowledge of DoD operations and financial environment
Federal Consulting experience
Accounting and/or Auditing experience
CPA , CGFM/CDFM, or PMP are a plus
Military training in Logistics or Property Management
Self driven and motivated
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to adapt and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Self-Starter, Driven and Motivated
Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated Accenture business may not be eligible for consideration.
